Senador

Senador

Senador exists both in Tawny and White version. The Tawny is a red wine less intensely coloured than a Ruby Port and has a light and elegant style. The White Senador shows a straw-yellow colour and a fruity aroma.

Take the Senador (Tawny or White) slightly chilled before a meal on its own or with melon, nuts or almonds.

Ambassadeur

Ambassadeur

Ambassadeur is the name of Krohn's Ruby Port. It is a fruity wine with a nice red colour that should be consumed quite young in order to preserve its freshness.

Enjoy the Ambassadeur after meal with cheese.

Governador

Governador

The superior quality of Governador has been officially recognised through its classification as a Reserva Port. Its main characteristics are a smooth Tawny character and a fine bouquet.

Governador is perfect for drinking on its own or with dried fruits and sweet desserts.

Rio Torto

Rio Torto

Rio Torto is our Reserva Ruby Port. It has a remarkable red colour, a fruity character and a full body.

Take the Rio Torto after meal with cheese.

Dry White and Lágrima

Dry White and Lágrima

Dry White and Lágrima have both a white colour but differ in sweetness. The first is officially classified as dry (inspite of having a relatively small amount of residual sugar), the latter is very sweet. Krohn's Dry White Port (Silver Medal, International Wine Challenge 2006; Bronze Medal, Decanter World Wine Awards 2009) is a blend of old white Ports, which makes it taste rather differently (more complexity) from the current dry white Ports.

Both are excellent apéritifs, to be served chilled.

Rosé

Rosé

Krohn's Rosé is a young, fruity, lively Port that should be drunk chilled as apéritif or enjoyed in a long drink with tonic water, ice and lemon.

10, 20 and 30 Year Old

10, 20 and 30 Year Old

The 10, 20 and 30 Year Old Ports are old Tawnies with a great complexity and the typical aromas and flavours of wood aged Ports, with lots of nuts and caramel.

They have been given important awards, such as a Gold Medal for the 20 Year Old (Challenge International du Vin 2009) and a Grand Gold Medal for the 30 Year Old Port (Monde Sélection 2012, Bruxelles).

The 10 Year Old Port may be served either as apéritif or after meal. The 20 and 30 Year Old Ports are excellent with desserts such as cheese, cakes, tarts and milk chocolate.
